White Xbox One for Employees

Rumored Employee Only White Xbox One (Click for Larger Image)

There has been some buzz going around the internet about an all white Xbox One console that will be exclusively for Microsoft employees. We haven’t seen any pictures of the mythical white Xbox until now. The picture we stumbled upon was sourced back to Reddit and as near as we can tell, it looks to be legit. It’s also rumored that on the disc drive of the console “I Made This” is engraved on it.

Of course there’s no real way to know until the console comes out or if Microsoft confirms it but I sure hope that this becomes an option that the rest of us can purchase at a later date. This is by far the best version of the next-gen console I’ve seen, at least in my opinion.

Apple’s New iPhone Set for September 10th

AllThingsD is reporting that Apple’s next iPhone will be unveiled on September 10th. The new iPhone is rumored to have some pretty cool features including a fingerprint sensor and a new 12-megapixel camera with dual LED flash.

As for the fingerprint scanner, I would love to have a better way to secure information and biometrics would be nice addition to iPhone. I think this is an area that more companies need to experiment with, it’s been used here and there on many different devices but it has yet to be refined and brought into the spotlight.

Macrumors has more details on what this fingerprint sensor might look like and how it might function on the iPhone. As for the camera upgrade, it makes sense that Apple would push for improvement here as it’s probably one of the most used features of the phone.

iOS 7 is also likely to make it’s official debut during the fall iPhone event as well. iOS7 will bring some of the most dramatic changes to Apple’s mobile OS ever. The new iOS will not be limited to the iPhone 5 but will be available to most of Apple’s current mobile devices.

It’s also very likely that we could see a new cheaper version of the iPhone. The cheaper iPhone has been unofficially named “iPhone 5c” and is said to be made of plastic. Leaked images of the cheaper iPhone, like the ones pictured above, have been circling the web for some time now and many show a variety of colors and a very slim, slightly rounded look.

Possible Images and Video of Low Cost iPhone

July 6, 2013 by Richard Vincenti Jr Leave a Comment

There has been a lot of speculation as to whether or not Apple will be announcing a lower cost iPhone made from mostly plastic. Many “leaks” have been showing up recently and now it seems we are getting a real good look at what might be coming this fall as Techdy claims to have the real outer shell of the highly rumored and much anticipated phone.

Techdy believes that the outer parts of the phone are indeed a polycarbonate material and that it has a 4″ screen just like the current iPhone. Techdy has even put together a little video showing of the shell.

Whether or not this is real, it definitely looks like something Apple would put together but it could also be just a cheap replica of the current iPhone that’s meant to run some obscure OS.  I’m not really sure what Apple has in store for a lower cost iPhone but I do hope they create one. It will be interesting to see how they price the phone and how it will compete against other more economical phone solutions.

Little Big Planet 3 to be Announced?

June 9, 2013 by Richard Vincenti Jr Leave a Comment

LittleBigPlanetSS

According to VG247, Little Big Planet 3 has shown up on an animator’s résumé. The little detail has magically disappeared from the web but as we all know, once it’s on the web, it’s on there forever. The page has been cached and here’s what the credit noted.,

Of course there isn’t really any other information about the game itself or any dates but it’s definitely an interesting find that, at the very least, confirms the game is real and makes us wonder if Sony will be making any announcements about it at E3, which is right around the corner.

Apple’s WWDC is Nearing

Apple’s upcoming World Wide Developer Conference (WWDC) is creating a lot of buzz in the tech community and rumors are at critical mass. What’s next for iOS, OSX and will there be any hardware announcements?

It’s highly likely that Apple will announce iOS 7 at this years event especially considering that banners, like the one above, are being placed at Moscone West in San Francisco, California where the event is being held.

iRadio could be a Spotify or Pandora replacement and with the recent announcement of Apple closing deals with all three major music labels, WWDC could be the perfect place to introduce the new service. OSX 10.9 is also very likely, especially considering we didn’t get any news about an OSX refresh earlier this year and the fact that there’s also a big banner with an “X” on it at Moscone, much like the iOS one. I’m thinking that we will see more integration of iOS features into OSX along with Jony Ive’s UI changes in look and feel, which is rumored to be much “flatter”.

What about hardware? Apple could be refreshing the MacBook Air and MacBook Pro with new 4th generation Intel hardware, which we mentioned earlier this week. It’s hard to believe that the MacBook line up could get much thinner but they may do just that as well. If you have never picked up a MacBook Air, it almost feels fake and making it thinner would actually be pretty impressive. We have also been waiting quite a while for a big update for the Mac Pro and anything at all about this would be nice. There are also hopes to hear things like an Apple TV announcement or an iWatch release but like with any of this, we won’t know till the conference begins.

The conference is June 10-14 and you can get complete details including a schedule on Apple’s developer page.
