2013 World Magic Cup Enters Final Day

The World Magic Cup has been underway at the Amsterdam Convention Factory from August 2-4 and it’s been a great tournament so far. If you aren’t familiar with the World Magic Cup, it’s the  best of the best from around the world representing their home countries as they go head to head playing Magic: The Gathering.

Currently, Austria is the number one seed and they will be up against Hungary. The Czech Republic will play against New Zealand. France is up against Belgium and Estonia will face off against Iceland all in the top 8 quarter-finals. It released on 6-25-2013 and is available on many platforms including Playstation Network, the App Store (iPad), Google Play, the Amazon App Store, Xbox Live Arcade, and PC on Steam. You can pick up the game for $9.99 or play the trial version for Free.

Magic 2014 Duels of the Planeswalkers features 10 brand new decks, 15 new encounters, 10 new puzzle challenges, and an all-new Sealed Play mode, that allows players to open booster packs and build decks to play against the AI and other players. Magic 2014 players also get a first look at cards from the Magic 2014 – Core Set, including the highly anticipated Slivers cards, creating even more seamless integration between the online and offline games.

If you haven’t played Magic: The Gathering then honestly, you’re missing out on a great trading card game. In fact, Magic: The Gathering (MTG) is the original trading card game. Yes, that’s right, MTG was the very first of it’s kind and it was invented by Richard Garfield, Ph D. and released by Wizards of the Coast in 1993.

The physical card game is so much fun to play as it offers up a great challenge and it’s a great way to get together and get gaming with your friends, but the digital game is just as good. Blizzard Introduces HearthStone: Heroes of Warcraft

Blizzard Entertainment has introduced a brand new game, HearthStone: Heroes of Warcraft. The game is a TCG (Trading Card Game) style game that is free-to-play and features all of our favorite Warcraft characters. Build Decks and Challenge players, the core of any good card game, and that’s exactly what HearthStone is all about.

It’s exciting to see Blizzard doing something that shakes things up a bit. I can’t wait to jump in and check it out. The game will be available for Windows PC, Mac, and iPad.
