November 28, 2013 by Richard Vincenti Jr Leave a Comment

Nintendo has recently tweeted out an awesome deal on the Nintendo 3DS XL system by offering it for $149.99! This deal includes the new limited edition Zelda: A Link Between Worlds console. This offer is exclusive to Target and will continue on through 11/28 to 11/30.

Pick up any Nintendo 3DS XL hardware, including the Zelda 3DS XL, for only $149.99 at @Target from 11/28-11/30! pic.twitter.com/Y8R3PXiNY4

The Zelda version of the 3DS XL includes a digital download code for the newly released game, The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds. The bundled 3DS XL console is gold with a black bottom and it features a triforce on both the top and bottom of the console. It’s probably Nintendo’s coolest looking 3DS XL and it comes bundled with a top notch Zelda game which received a 9.4 (“Amazing”) review score from IGN. I have personally started to play through the new Zelda title and it’s easily one of the best reasons to own this console.

World of Warcraft Trivial Pursuit

October 9, 2013 by Karlene Leave a Comment

Blizzard Store and ThinkGeek.com are now selling the World of Warcraft Trivial Pursuit game.

“For the first time ever, Trivial Pursuit partners with massive multiplayer online role-playing game; World of Warcraft. Challenge and test yourself with 600 questions of the world, dungeons, villains, loot and more. An epic adventure awaits all heroes who answer the call!” -Blizzard

WoW trivial pursuitWhat ThinkGeek has to say:

MMORPG Trivia.

Ever wonder what Trivial Pursuit would be like in other lands? In Azeroth, for instance, would they still have questions about US Politics? We don’t think so. They’d have questions about their own history and politics and geography and stuff. Well, like it fell through a dimensional fissure, that’s what we got here: World of Warcraft Trivial Pursuit.

World of Warcraft Trivial Pursuit is all about WoW. Move your custom baby Murloc piece around (following the number on the custom baby Murloc die) and earn yourself some wedges by answering questions correctly (wedges still fit in classic playing pieces, also included). World of Warcraft Trivial Pursuit categories include villains, lore, and loot! Adventure through 600 questions to test who really knows World of Warcraft and who should just go out into the real world and play outside.

World of Warcraft Trivial Pursuit

  • For Ages 12 and up.
  • Trivial Pursuit mashed up with World of Warcraft.
  • Move custom baby Murloc movers – because you can!
  • Categories: Geography, Villains, Encounters, Characters, Lore, and Loot.
  • Includes: Game board, 100 cards (600 questions), custom baby Murloc die, custom baby Murloc playing pieces, usual Trivial Pursuit pieces and wedges, and instructions.
  • Board Dimensions: Trivial Pursuit-sized.

You can purchase these at the Blizzard Store and ThinkGeek.com

Star Wars Lightsaber Thumb Wrestling

September 23, 2013 by Karlene Leave a Comment

ThinkGeek.com is an online store with all kinds of awesome geek stuff. On sale now, is a Star Wars Lightsaber Thumb Wrestling book.

I think this is a pretty fun idea and the cost is very reasonable. No need for boring “old school” thumb wars, this makes it way more exciting.

Thumb War

ThinkGeek says:

May the thumb be with you.

One, two, three, four – we declare thumb war. Remember? And then you’d mash each other’s thumbs or flick your pointer finger out yelling, “Secret Weapon!!” and getting everyone all mad? That’s how you used to thumb wrestle, but that’s not how they did it long, long ago and all that. How’d they do it? With lightsabers, silly. And now you can, too, with Star Wars Lightsaber Thumb Wrestling.

Star Wars Lightsaber Thumb Wrestling – a game-in-a-book – provides hours of fun for thumb wrestling masters or their padawans. Each duelist attaches a saber to their thumb with Velcro and elastic. Then, just decide on the arena (featuring prominent dueling locations from all 6 Star Wars movies), slide your thumbs in, and have at it. Star Wars Lightsaber Thumb Wrestling is silly fun that will make a childhood game come alive again – with the power of lightsabers.

Please Note: These thumbsabers have no cutting properties and will not Ponda Baba-ize any of your digits. Just so you don’t worry.

Star Wars Lightsaber Thumb Wrestling

  • Add a dash of Star Wars to your normal thumb wrestling tournaments.
  • Velcro on these mini sabers and digit duel in a more civilized manner.
  • Durable card game board/book features 7 different arenas spanning all 6 movies.
  • Book even holds the sabers for easy travel.
  • Includes: One book and two sabers (Luke and Vader).
  • Saber Dimensions: approx. 4″ long (fits most thumbs).
 You can buy yours here!
